Editors' ReviewDownload.com staffAugust 28, 2015This free information manager does a passable job organizing clippings into folders, but it lacks features and flexibility. The interface is typical. On the left is a folder tree. To the right of it are two panes, one on top for lists of notes, one below for viewing and adding note contents. SimBust Note Manager Lite provides good features for sorting and filtering notes, but the notes themselves can hold only plain, unformatted text. There is no way to highlight important items. You can't insert images or hyperlinks. The program can password-protect individual folders or an entire database. But it doesn't integrate with Web browsers. And it saves notes only in its own format, so you can t share them with friends who don t have the program installed. We recommend this program only to those who work exclusively with text. We don't imagine that covers many people.
