Editors' ReviewDownload.com staffFebruary 16, 2012Get all your audio ducks in a row with this straightforward file converter. Ease Audio Converter, though fairly basic, performed well in our tests. It takes files in some of the more popular audio formats, including WAV, WMA, MP3, and OGG, and converts them in batch mode. The intuitive, well-designed interface provides simple one-button controls and drop-down menus. The program offers an adequate number of output options, including adjustments for sample rate, bit rate, and number of audio channels. What's more, the MP3-file conversion supports variable-bit-rate (VBR) compression, though you can disable this option if you like. Though Ease Audio Converter doesn't include options for burning or ripping CDs, it's powerful enough for most people who want to convert files en masse. We only wish the trial version could convert more than 30 files. Overall, this is a reliable, basic program for audio conversion.
