Sqirlz Water Reflections adds a basic waterlike effect to any image or AVI video, but we find the confusing interface undermines its appeal. The main window offers no obvious tips or help files, and in our tests, the process of adding the effects presented unforeseen stumbling blocks that made it difficult to complete. Users can customize the water simulations, specifying wave strength, separation, and brightness, as well as adding transparency and the illusion of underwater ripples. But anyone seeking this potentially lovely output must be prepared for headaches in learning and using the tool.
